For business owners

Understand your numbers and get the supporting work prepared.

Bring your own business's financial records and a question. Memwa reads the records, checks the arithmetic, and prepares a report or workbook you can follow and discuss with your accountant.

Where to start

Start with the question you already have.

Three common ways owners begin.

“I don’t know where to start.”

What you bring
The statements, invoices, receipts, and reports you already have.
What Memwa does
Memwa reads what you uploaded, tells you which periods the records cover and what looks missing, and starts with the review that will help most.

“Why did my costs change?”

What you bring
Two comparable periods and the records behind them.
What Memwa does
It calculates the change, opens the rows behind the number, and keeps possible explanations separate from the differences it can confirm.

“Help me get this ready for my accountant.”

What you bring
The records for the period your accountant is asking about.
What Memwa does
It prepares a summary and a checklist of open questions and missing documents, with the underlying files kept in your workspace.

Questions

What owners ask first.

Do I need to be an accountant?

No. Ask in your own words, and ask Memwa to explain any term it uses. The figures, dates, and sources stay attached to the answer, so the explanation never replaces the calculation.

Does this replace my accounting software?

No. Your accounting software and your bank remain the systems of record. Memwa works from the records you bring in. It does not post entries, file returns, or send documents on your behalf.

Does this replace my accountant?

No. Memwa helps you work through and prepare financial material. Your accountant still provides the review, advice, and decisions you rely on them for.

Is it a different product for business owners?

No. Business owners use the same workspace, the same accounting capabilities, and the same plans as accountants and bookkeepers.

How do I set up my business?

Create your account, choose "My business's books", and upload the records for the period you want to work through.

Getting started
